About

An architecture practice built around real engineering.

Maanan was founded to close a gap most clients can name: firms that lead with renderings, then quietly hand the structure to someone else.

Founder

Harpreet Singh

Civil Engineer · Founding Principal

Harpreet’s career was built on projects where the margin for error is effectively zero. He delivered packages for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), spent years at one of Delhi’s leading consulting firms working alongside senior architects and engineers, and led design and review on government water-supply and sanitation schemes that serve thousands of households every day.

Maanan is the next chapter — bringing that discipline home to Jammu. The same engineering rigour applied to national infrastructure now shapes private residences, commercial buildings and institutional work across the region.

The name Maanan reflects the practice: thoughtful, deliberate, considered. Nothing left to chance.

The studio

A small, deliberate team — every discipline in the room.

Harpreet leads a tight group of architects, an interior designer and trusted partner consultants. One studio, every decision made together — so structure, space and finish never argue with each other on site.

Architects

In-house architects who draw, detail and stand on site. No work outsourced to faceless drafting rooms.

Interior designer

Materials, light and finish resolved alongside the plan — not bolted on after handover.

Partner consultants

Long-standing MEP, landscape and specialist partners who’ve worked with the practice for years.

NHAI

National Highways

Bridge, pavement and drainage packages on highway corridors connecting major cities.

DELHI

Leading consultancy

Years of architecture-engineering collaboration on mixed-use, institutional and high-end residential work.

GOI

Water & sanitation

Government water-supply and sanitation infrastructure: design, review and on-site delivery.

What we believe

Structure first.

A beautiful building that cracks, leaks or overruns is not a beautiful building.

Sustainability without theatre.

If a green strategy doesn’t lower your bill or improve your day, we don’t specify it.

Honest budgets.

We tell you the real number early, even when it’s not the easy number.

Quiet design.

Calm spaces age better than loud ones. We design for forty years, not for a feed.

If that sounds like the kind of practice you’ve been looking for, let’s talk.
